Hundred Days of Prose
Description
From 21 April 2020, a daily short prose text, mostly written by me, will be made available in the course "Hundred Days of Prose". The project, should last a hundred days; hence the title. My texts are short attempts at scientific, essayistic and literary writing. They deal, for example, with the role and function of weather in literary texts, with possible beginnings of narrative, with philological fantasy, with sitting still or with representations of confinement and loneliness, and much more. The aim of the course is, on the one hand, to encourage you to write your own prose and to enter into an exchange with you. On the other hand, the prose pieces also provide you with thematic suggestions for your literary studies, which you can take up in assignments, research papers, theses and other forms of examination.
