Description

Open Educational Resources (OER) are freely available and free-of-charge educational materials. This self-study course provides information about OER. You will learn about the reasons for OER, the Creative Commons licenses, how to search for and create OER yourself.

  • The course not only provides information, but is also linked to tasks, H5P content and self-study tests.
  • Procedure:  In each section you will be introduced to the content in different ways, including interactive videos, tutorials and self-study tests with small tasks. In addition, you will receive helpful materials as a link, PDF, PowerPoint or OpenDocument file.
  • Time: The self-learning unit was designed for approx. 120 - 160 min. You can proceed according to your speed and interest (and of course spend considerably more or less time).
  • Gamification: To make self-learning more motivating, the course includes progress bars and Level-up!
  • Prerequisite: First of all it makes sense to register in this course as a participant with your login ID in order to be able to use all functions (test submission, gamification, H5P, progress bar)! If you do not yet have a login ID, you can get one here free of charge and without complications.
