This course is designed as self-study and is based on the handbook by Angelika Malinar “Hinduismus. Studium Religionen” and related primary sources. The structure of the course follows that of the handbook. The primary sources correspond to the successive topics discussed in the handbook. The quiz questions refer to the handbook and the primary sources.
Learning objectives
The objectives of this self-study course are
- to gain an overview of the development of Hindu traditions
- to acquire a basic knowledge of Hindu beliefs, teachings and practices
