In the course of the digitalization of teaching, innovative teaching concepts are increasingly being developed and integrated into university teaching, opening up new opportunities for teaching and learning. The Inverted Classroom Model (ICM) is a teaching model based on the idea of “flipping” the basic activities of a traditional lecture. In traditional teaching concepts, the content input is provided by the lecturer in front of a large group of students in the lecture hall (in-class ), while further tasks are usually completed at home in individual work (out-of-class). In the inverted classroom (IC), on the other hand, knowledge is imparted purely through multimedia online material, so that the classroom event can be used for joint, in-depth discussion of what has been learned in the large group.
